Academic research thrives on exchange, especially among young researchers at the start of their careers. Therefore, professors from all economic faculties and institutes of universities in Lower Saxony, Bremen, and Saxony-Anhalt have joined forces, supported by the Deutsche Bundesbank Regional Office in Bremen, Lower Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt, to organize the 7th Bundesbank Workshop for Young Scientists on Applied Economics on May 22nd and 23rd, 2025 in Hannover.
The workshop offers the opportunity to discuss current research intensively and to network. Alongside research discussions and a poster session, there will be two keynotes: Professor Volker Wieland (IMFS Endowed Chair of Monetary Economics, Goethe University Frankfurt) will discuss the state of the German economy and what economic policy is needed now, and Jens Ulbrich (Director General Economics, Deutsche Bundesbank) will cover current issues of monetary policy.
