    The course covers models on the effect of incentives in the innovation process. Among others, different principal agent models incorporating particularities arising when implementing incentives within the innovation process, are part of the course.  For example, we discuss principal agent models that involve intrinsic motivation, allocation of property rights, multi-tasking, and teamwork. The course is based on formal models and empirical evidence.

    Zielsetzung Based on current research in behavioral economics, students will aquire knowledge on the effect of incentives on innovation. The focus lies in understanding the impact of incentives in the innovation process and possible side effects as well as problems arising when incentives are implemented within this process.
